1. How does CloudKrate work?
CloudKrate provides a platform for group ordering. Users can subscribe to CloudKrate and
form their own groups. They can invite team members and colleagues to their groups and can manage the consolidated
purchasing requirements of the group. User groups have access to pre-loaded supplier catalogues, a product and services
market place and also an inventory feature to track and manage their purchases. CloudKrate also provides detailed order
fulfilment visibility right from purchase order creation to product delivery and invoice payment.
2. Can I use CloudKrate for ordering products directly?
Not yet; you can use CloudKrate for browsing catalogues and offers, tracking your order and managing your inventory.
CloudKrate does not allow purchase through the website at the moment; but watch this space for more!
3. Do I need to download any software for using CloudKrate? From where can I access CloudKrate?
CloudKrate is a freely available website; no need to download any software or plugins. You can access
it from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection.
4. How do I form my own group?
It is like forming groups on any other social networking website. Create a profile for
yourself on CloudKrate and input details of your group like a valid group name and an email id. As the first
member of the group – you will be the administrator of this group. You can now start placing orders and invite other
users to your group.
6. Can I be a part of more than one group at CloudKrate?
CloudKrate allows you to be a part of more than one group. Just make
a new group or have the group admin add you as a member and manage your groups through the group homepage.
7. What is the CloudKrate Marketplace?
The CloudKrate Marketplace is your one stop for searching products and adding them to your
order cart. The marketplace provides easy search functionality to find your required product – now no more browsing
through long and complicated vendor catalogs. You can search them by product name, catalog number, vendor name or even by
keyword – all in one location.
8. How do I upload details about my existing inventory or product supplies database into CloudKrate?
In 3 easy steps:
• Download the convenient .csv template from the inventory section of CloudKrate.
• Update your existing inventory into the template under the appropriate heading.
• Save as .csv file and upload to CloudKrate! You are all set!
9. Who can see my orders or inventory details?
The orders and inventory details are visible to all the members in your group. No other group,
user or supplier on CloudKrate can access these details. Remember, the essence of CloudKrate is to optimize group ordering
and visibility into group orders and inventory is a key step towards achieving that goal.
10. What is the CloudKrate Dashboard?
The CloudKrate dashboard provides basic order and spend analysis on completed and open orders and
outstanding products. It also hosts the message board for your group. The current dashboard is only the first step in our
endeavor to provide insightful and comprehensive spend analytics and plans are in works to expand its capabilities and outputs.
11. What are the different types of privileges given to users and administrators?
Users can search for items through the marketplace, put in orders (pending approval),
update inventories and upload documents. Administrators can additionally manage group members and approve orders.

13. What are documents?
Documents allows you to share protocols and other useful information within your group.
Once a document is uploaded, anyone who is a member of the group can view it by logging into CloudKrate.
14. If I mark a product as received, will it directly be added into the inventory?
Yes. The inventory will automatically be updated to reflect received items. You can add in location too!
15. How do I pay for products ordered on CloudKrate?
Currently CloudKrate is designed to be an order and inventory management system and marketplace
and does not host a payment platform. Payments for all products should be processed through your existing standard
payment channels for vendors. In the near future we do envision hosting CloudKrate’s own payment channel.
16. How do I leave a group?
While it is our least favorite place on CloudKrate – you can do this easily by selecting the
‘Exit from Group’ option under the Member Details field. This is found on the Settings tab in your group.
